Presidential Commemorative
Smog Plates
are portraits of U.S. Presidents
form McKinley to Bush (41) created from particulate matter in the polluted
air. The dinnerplates, covered with stencils, were placed on a rooftop for
varying lentghs of time depending on the extent of a President's violation
or apathy toward the distressed environment. Upon removal of the stencil,
the President's visages in smog are revealed, accompanied by their historical
quotes about the environment and business.
