Give Us this Day
Many of the Smog Collector
installations use domestic settings as a framework. These include modified
and hand-built constructions presenting "meals" made of smog on
tables, a TV tray, and baby furniture. Car mufflers are used for legs of Zoë's
Bassinet with its toys revealed in smog. Babies Breath flowers and perfect
sky-blue walls complete the setting for the smog installations.
installation Sheer fabric chairs float next to the table and other domestic elements created with smog in Give Us This Day. This installation was originally exhibited in Belgium for the international exhibit, Cultural Centre of Berchem (1993). |
